Current music:Dropkick Murphys Kiss Me I'm Shitfaced

Discombobulation
So I'm going to be doing a lot of writing during my vacation in an effort to catch up on reviews. Here's a short list of what's on deck;

Alter Der Ruine - State Of Ruin (I promised these guys a review at their show, which was over three weeks ago)
W.A.S.T.E. - Violent Delights (same as ADR)
Attrition - All Mine Enemys Whispers (The Story Of Mary Ann Cotton) (should have had this done by now, particularly since I still feel like I'm trying to impress Projekt)
Meat Beat Manifesto - Autoimmune (This comes out Tuesday and shouldn't be hard for me since I'm a big fan and it's a great album)
Wumpscut - Schadling (Again, Tuesday - not as big a fan as this guy seems to roll off music on an assembly line but this release is pretty good)
Hate Eternal - Fury And Flames (I may just skip the review on this honestly since not many people are going to even be interested)
Cavalera Conspiracy - Inflikted (This is a great return to form for Max and Igor, and since a lot of people got into the Sepultura remixes I want to do a write-up for this album)
Alestorm - Captain Morgan's Revenge (Dude, it's Scottish Pirate Metal. How can I not review it?!)
Children Of Bodom - Blooddrunk (I mentioned on the message board that these guys get tagged with a Goth label all the time even though they are anything but. The album's solid though and much better than Melodic Death Metal compatriots In Flames' last release, which I've already reviewed)
Belphegor - Bondage Goat Zombie (Like Hate Eternal, no one will be interested in this. I don't care. That's the most ludicrous title I've ever seen, even for a brutal Death Metal band. They're really good though, if you're into that sort of thing)
Negative Format - Gradients (I've only listened to this once so far. Sounds like Negative Format. Imagine that!)
Juno Reactor - Gods & Monsters (Really, really good. Gets better with each listen)
Origin - Antithesis (Technical Death Metal. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you don't care)
Testament - The Formation Of Damnation (Really good)
Korpiklaani - Korven Kuningas (One of the many acts saddled with the "Pagan Metal" title. Mixes traditional folk with Metal. See the review I did for Eluveitie. Good stuff. Might be the kind of Metal you would get into even though you're not really into Metal)
Prostitute Disfigurement - Descendants Of Depravity (I don't give a rat's ass if no one even reads it. It's cool)

And that's not including the package Dancing Ferret is sending to me. I don't know how many CDs they're including but I do know the latest Lunascape and Qntal releases will be included.

Good times.

I'll make a public appearance or two as well. Check me out at Hard Mondays tomorrow (you know you've been thinking of going). And I have a lot of "organization" I want to get done around the house. Oh, and I suppose I better get my car fixed. I'm really hoping the week doesn't just fly right by, even though I know it most likely will.

Even though I should be listening to all this new music I've been in a real Dropkick Murphys mood lately. And no one will ever be able to convince me that they aren't one of the coolest acts in Punk history. Great Irish, working-class, drinking and fighting music.

Oh, and hey: anyone on my F-list planning on attending the Kraftwerk show? How could you even pass it up?

Ironic that an act which almost never plays the States will be playing in your neck of the woods while you're not in the States. Bummer.

I think there's a rule that states that while reviewing a "Pirate Metal" album, you have to gargle a shot of rum every time they sing "yarr". Better do that one LAST.

I'm planning on buying my advanced ticket for Kraftwerk at the box office sometime this week ($38). Should I grab one (two?) for you? F*** Ticketmeister.

Fortunately, there isn't a single "Yarrr!" on the album, in spite of the fact the singer sounds like Barbosa in Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Jessica and I are planning on going to the show. My route is the mall right next to the Myth, but I'm on vacation this week so I'm not going anywhere near there. If you wanted to pick up tickets for us that would be cool I suppose, but it's not a big deal since I can walk over there next week and get them.
